Counselors of Color Regional Roundtable

The Washington Counselors of Color Network was born out of a need to process, professionally & confidentially, racial issues that arise in client sessions. Our Regional Roundtable provides an opportunity to take on topics that counselors of color may not find support for elsewhere. Licensed/Associate counselors who identify as people of color are invited to gather together to discuss Racial Trauma: Caring for clients & ourselves as people of color. In light of the painful, public injustices our communities of color have witnessed in the last few weeks (and years), we anticipate this will not be an easy conversation. The discussion will be moderated by Summer Brown, LMFT & Laura Ahn, LMHC. We hope that having this conversation will equip and empower us as counselors to integrate social justice and other treatment strategies into session.
