Description of Counselor/Practice

Open to incoming clients. Growing up a queer, black/white biracial person in predominantly white Seattle, diversity has always been a dominant theme in my life. I've always been curious about people -- how they work and why. As an adult, that curiosity evolved into a passion for social justice and the desire to thoroughly explore my many intersecting identities. I bring an eclectic collection of therapeutic modalities ranging from the Depth tradition, which explores the contents of the client's unconscious, and skill-based modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, distress tolerance, present-centered awareness, self-regulation, and conflict resolution.
