Description of Counselor/Practice
As a former data scientist turned relationship & sex therapist, I help analytical professionals navigate relationship, intimacy, and career challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed from feelings of loneliness, dread, and even resentment - you're not alone. Imagine feeling truly understood by your partner again, having the tools to communicate your desires openly, and regaining your sense of purpose at work. I'll provide a supportive space to help you move from overwhelm to clarity and confidence. Through our work together, you'll feel confident that you have a path forward for yourself and your relationships.
I am a woman of color and child of Japanese immigrants. I have a degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle, with a specialization in sex therapy. In addition, I have completed the Gottman Level 1 Training, and Asian Women’s Shelter Domestic Violence Counselor Training with its multilingual version (Japanese). I enjoy working with individuals and relationships from marginalized identities.
I tailor my approach to the needs of my clients, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Integrative Family Therapy (IFS), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy.
