*Please note that my practice is currently full and I am not taking any new clients.
I (He/Him) specialize in multicultural, acculturation and racial identity concerns; LGBTQ+ mental wellness; and relationship issues including family and interpersonal conflicts. I have expertise related to depression, anxiety, childhood and sexual trauma, self-esteem issues, addiction recovery, anger management, and career/existential fulfillment. I work with adults and young adults; I have worked with many university students as a former academic advisor and counselor, and understand the stressors related to higher education and post-graduate expectations.
As a queer person of color, there are many details and sensitivities that can often be overlooked by society at large - including intergenerational pressures, conflicting cultural gender roles and expectations, and intersectional identities and tensions. Understanding these nuances, I strive to be open, respectful, and empathic with all clients regardless of your race, ethnicity, socio-economic, religious/spiritual backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
