About You:
You are a problem-solver, capable of solving complex situations, yet, some emotions and thoughts get the best of you. You identify as creative, an artist, maybe a writer who relies on intuition and vision, yet, sometimes, get lost in circles, dead ends, or worse - invisible patterns.
You are a caregiver, a healer, a confidant, a mother, a father, a best friend who finds it challenging to consider your own wants and needs. You are in-between worlds, cross-cultural, inter-disciplinary, a designer, a connector sometimes pulled in different directions, conflicted or doubting yourself and your relationships.
About Me:
I have 15+ years of experience in social services including the Peace Corps, clinical internships, crisis response, individual, couples, and family psychodynamic psychotherapy, and facilitating groups. I continue to develop my own self-awareness in the service of growth. My framework draws from psychoanalysis, PACT, ACT, MBCT, AAI adult attachment trainings.
About This Therapy Practice:
Brincadeira in Portuguese and Spanish can refer to playfulness, a game, or taking a leap. These are apt metaphors for life. Taking a leap requires a solid base. We create and explore on our path of growth. This is in keeping with the sacred process of healing and living. Your therapy journey awaits you. I enjoy witnessing and participating in this process.
Un Breve Historia
Tengo mas de 15 años de experiencía en obra social incluyiendo trabajando en Informatica como voluntario de Cuerpo de Paz en Republica Dominicana. Trabaje como terepeuta en clinicas medicas durante mi maestria. Trabaje como asesor de crisis en King County, y luego como psicoterapeuta de individuales, familias, parejas, y grupos Latinos en los años 2014 a 2018. Durante mis 40 años en este mundo, he seguido desarrollando mi consencia plena para servir mi crecamiento como adulto y consejero. He estudiado injenieria de sistemas y obra social enfocado en salud mental, participado en retiros de meditación, y entrenado en terapias de mindfulness que use la practica de meditación para desarrollar y sanar mentes en el servicio de cultivando una salud mental sano. Uso estos practicas con mi experiencía para enseñar y guiar individuales hacer los cambios que desean en su vida. Humildemente he sido testigo de mis clientes en su viaje hacia la alegría y la conciencia significativa de la mente y el cuerpo a través de sesiones de psicoterapia individual, familiar y de grupo. En particular, entiendo que las mentes activas que resuelven problemas desean volver a conectarse con sus raíces creativas.
