Description of Counselor/Practice

As a South Asian woman from India, I'm familiar with the struggles of navigating different cultural values living in the US. I approach conversations on cultural identity, boundaries, dealing with relational conflict and so on in a way that is authentic to you while also keeping your background in mind. Whether you are feeling isolated, shutting down in conflict or want to learn how to regulate your emotions, in our work together you will have a chance to learn more about yourself, grow compassion towards yourself and understand your triggers. I am passionate about working with BIPOC individuals and people with marginalized identities. I believe that the cues our bodies give us help us understand ourselves better. I also have 6+ years experience working with kids of various ages and their families. I use a trauma-informed approach to therapy that we will co-create.
