Description of Counselor/Practice

I am a second-generation Asian American woman, social worker, and mental health therapist based in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA. I grew up in South Seattle and am both proud of and grateful for how this community has shaped me into the person I am today. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I’ve worked with folx from diverse backgrounds in various states of crisis, grief, health, and growth while navigating oppressive systems that often require folx to show up in certain ways to get what they need. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to show up wholly and fully as yourself – where you don’t feel the need to hide parts of your identity out of fear of not being accepted as you are. In working together, my hope is that I can help you to define and own your story. There are so many stories that we tell ourselves (or that others tell us) about who we are, who we have been, who we can/can’t be, who we should be – it can become paralyzing and keep us from living authentically. By fostering a safe and affirmative space for you to unpack/reflect, I will support you in reclaiming your narrative.
