Chisato Horikawa, LICSW

Description of Counselor/Practice

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) providing trauma-informed therapy for teens and adults across Washington State via telehealth. I specialize in supporting immigrants and Asian/Asian American communities, as well as LGBTQIA+ individuals, young adults, and teens who have experienced complex trauma. My work also includes helping survivors of domestic violence, childhood neglect, and relationship trauma find safety, empowerment, and self-compassion. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, attachment theory, and inner child work. Together, we’ll explore how early relationships with caregivers shape your patterns of connection — and discover new ways to heal and grow. I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in curiosity and compassion. When life feels overwhelming, it can be hard to access your inner wisdom. My role is to help you reconnect with your strengths and capacity for healing, one step at a time.
