Description of Counselor/Practice

In doing this work over the past 10+ years, I have noticed the gap of specialty in working with those whose backgrounds and identities originate from multiple cultures, countries, etc. As a multiracial woman myself, raising a multiracial family, I understand the nuance our stories bring that is often not captured by traditional cultural competency. The balance between the multiple important parts of ourselves takes on new meanings in the context of our relationships- especially with our partners and families-both the ones we came from and the ones we are now building. This is why my practice, while open to all who believe I could help support them in their personal growth, is focused primarily on multiracial individuals, couples and families. My style, in both therapy and in life, is collaborative, personable and non-judgmental.
