Mehvash Ali, PhD

Description of Counselor/Practice

I strive to create a safe and judgement-free space to explore patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may be impacting your life. Together we will identify the most appropriate goals for therapy to improve your current quality of life. I carry a feminist social justice lens to critically explore systems of power/privilege and the impact they have on your experience. I believe that a collaborative, goal-oriented and evidence-based interpersonal approach in therapy is the best way to manage stress, reframe negative thought patterns, improve interpersonal relationships, and live holistically. I engage in an active therapy model. This means that you will be expected to take what you learn in our sessions and practice it in your everyday life.
