I am a Vietnamese American child and couple therapist who grew up in Vietnam and lived in multiple international cities. I specialize in young children utilizing playful approaches to nurture their self-esteem and relationships. I help parents identify their parenting philosophy and integrate them into daily interactions with children. With couples, I focus on restoring emotional connection, resolving conflicts and improve communication. Being trained in medical family therapy, I support people processing their experience of physical illnesses and navigating changes accommodated by individuals and the whole family.
My view of people is rooted in Systems Theory and a bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective. It is also congruent with the therapeutic approaches that I utilize in counseling adults, couples, and families such as Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method, but not limited to.
I am honored to join you in seeking personal growth and renewing connectedness with family and community. I appreciate your courage and openness in choosing to come into therapy. Like the seeds themselves having so much potential for growth, I believe that we all have the capacity for hope, resilience, and change even when life feels most stuck.
