Description of Counselor/Practice
Therapy should honor who you are - NOT ask you to leave parts of yourself at the door.
Many counseling approaches are rooted in Western perspectives that don't always reflect the lived experiences of BIPOC individuals, immigrants, and multicultural families.
At Vibrant Life Counseling, I take therapy a step further by intentionally integrating culture, language, family traditions, spirituality, values, and lived experiences into the therapeutic process. These are not topics we discuss only when they arise, they are an essential part of understanding who you are and how healing happens.
Whether you're navigating racial stress, discrimination, family expectations, intergenerational trauma, immigration experiences, identity development, or the challenge of balancing multiple cultures, therapy should reflect the complexity of your life. Together, we'll explore not only your symptoms but also the cultural, relational, and systemic factors that shape your experiences.
As a bilingual therapist providing services in English and Spanish, I work with individuals, couples, and families across Washington State. I use a systems and multicultural lens to create a therapeutic experience that is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to your unique needs.
I integrate evidence-based approaches - including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1) - while adapting these interventions in ways that align with your cultural values, beliefs, and goals rather than expecting you to fit a one-size-fits-all model.
Healing begins when you feel truly seen and understood. My goal is to provide a space where every part of your identity is welcomed, respected, and valued as we work together toward meaningful and lasting change.
