Description of Counselor/Practice

I am a queer Korean American mental health counselor associate specializing in working with clients experiencing multiple minority stresses. Clients are helped by my use of cognitive behavioral and self-compassion focused therapy. I help clients clarify what is really causing them pain and stress and help them challenge any negative thoughts that they may be engaging in. In doing so, clients discover their own unique strengths and identity and begin to reframe and remake the stories of their lives in a way that is flexible and self-fulfilling. Clients walk away from therapy with a greater understanding of who they are and a greater sense of purpose.
