As humans, we are wired for connection and social relationship. Perspectives of the self, social position, and relationships influence our ability to cope, manage emotions, recover, and heal. Therapy helps us to effectively respond to these psychological and social stressors.
In my therapeutic process, there is a beginning, mid-point, and ending. We collaboratively create goals, and you are an active participant in evaluating progress toward independent functioning after completing therapy.
My therapeutic practice serves adults 21 years+ and couples. The practice serves people of all diverse identities and is committed to providing justice-informed, culturally sensitive services to people experiencing mental health challenges, grief and loss, age-related life changes, sexuality issues, employment stress, and relational issues that include marital stress, feelings of disconnection, infidelity, and environmental stress. I also offer pre-marital counseling and serve heterosexual and same-sex couples, religious-observant couples, domestic partners, civil unions, and roommates.
