Christina Cantwell, LMHC

Description of Counselor/Practice

I work with individuals who are feeling stuck or going through transition in their lives. I believe that people are doing the best they can, but habitual ways of relating to ourselves and others can hold us back from having the life and relationships we want. Some of my areas of interest include working with anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQIA2+ folks, BIPOC folks, and those in polyamorous or nonmonogamous relationships. I am a mixed race, queer, able-bodied, cisgender female. I provide an affirming environment for members of the LGBTQIA community to explore sexual and gender identities. I will help you with your relationship struggles by improving your ability to communicate and maintain your individuality while being in relationship with another. Together we will examine the causes of your anxiety and depression and how old patterns may be keeping you from living a fuller and more satisfying life.Through this awareness, you will have more choice over your current patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and marginalization. From a place of collaboration and warmth, I will work with you toward growth and change.
