Description of Counselor/Practice
NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS.
My approach to therapy is from a strengths-based, solution focused, mindfulness perspective. Many of the values and beliefs we hold about ourselves and what we’re capable of, come from our thought process, personal history, and our motivation to change. Some therapeutic models that may be utilized during therapy include Cognitive-Behavioral, Ecological/Life Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and Resilience. Our work together will entail utilizing these therapeutic processes to challenge the limiting beliefs that are keeping you from being who you want and need to be.
I earned a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington. I have extensive experience working with individuals and families in crisis, navigating the child welfare system and the dependency process and with individuals that are highly impacted by secondary traumatic stress and compassion fatigue. I have a passion for helping individuals and families develop ways to cope with stress and develop strategies to improve overall mental health. It would be my honor to help you to make the changes that will lead to the peace of mind you desire.
