Finding a therapist who can hold space for your specific identities and experiences is so important. As a Bangladeshi, Muslim, queer, non-binary therapist, I have personally experienced the frustrations of finding a mental health provider who is savvy about the complex, nuanced, and particular experiences and identities I carry. You deserve a therapist who can understand the intersections of who you are, and the way those intersections will influence your work in therapy.
I work with individuals who want to feel more connected and attuned to themselves, and to the relationships in their lives. Together we can bring compassion, and vulnerability to exploring who you are, the impact your experiences have had on you, and how you move through this world. My approach blends analysis, practical coping skills and curiosity to help you work toward joy and healing--both individually and collectively. Some of the specific areas I focus on are:
People of Color
LGBTQIA+ adults
Multicultural and/or immigrant backgrounds (including undocumented experiences)
Complex trauma (childhood and beyond)
Grief and Loss
Activists and movement workers
People with medical experiences, chronic or terminal illness
I provide services in English and/or Bangla and am 100% telehealth at this time. I can see anyone in WA state and have limited ability to see people outside of WA state due to licensing laws. I take Premera and am able to accept people participating in Kaiser's gender care program.
