Having a space to be ourselves without shame, worry or fear can be a powerful catalyst for healing. We will collaboratively create spaces where we tackle challenges and pain you may be experiencing in your life, notice the functions that these patterns serve, identify inherent strengths, and engage in reflection without judgement. Making the decision to access therapy is in itself a sign of your inherent strength. I hope to help you identify and build on those strengths in order to cope with life experiences.
I take a client-centered, trauma-focused, queer feminist approach to therapy drawing on the mind-body connection, narratives that we hold of ourselves, connections that influence our decisions and mindfulness. Additionally, I am fully trained in EMDR. I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety and dissociative disorders.
My experiences as a queer woman of color and an immigrant helps me conceptualize individuals through a global and multicultural lens, where I draw on my own knowledge and am constantly learning through the knowledge of my clients. I welcome laughter and creativity in our space together.
