Hello! I’m Isabel. I am a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon, and a Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington. I offer online counseling for women in Oregon and Washington. As a Korean American born of immigrant parents, I hope to bring a sense of empathy to your unique cultural experiences.
Imagine letting go of old wounds and negative beliefs to experience freedom and growth. It is possible to have our past inform us and to move forward. Trauma has a way of fragmenting our sense of self and disempowering our sense of agency. However, it is within your reach to experience a renewed sense of peace and a fuller integration of self.
I work primarily with women desiring to work through and move forward from childhood and relational wounds. You thought you’d moved on, but the unresolved pain of your past shows up in the way you perceive the world and in the way you interact in your relationships. In working with many individuals, I learned that much of the emotional and behavioral struggles originate back to painful experiences and relational ruptures in childhood.
I practice EMDR and attachment focused EMDR to alleviate the effects of complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, along with other mental health struggles. My approach to mental health is highly relational, trauma-informed, and holistic. I am able to integrate a faith-based approach when requested.
