Description of Counselor/Practice

I am a Washington mental health and substance use professional that works with adult individuals seeking support for their mental health and/or issues related to substance use and addiction. I work from a social justice and anti-oppression framework because I believe that providing compassion and understanding is not based on linear imperialist belief systems. My own complex identity — biracial and first generation born to an immigrant mother and American father — informs my multicultural approach and my drive to understand the cultural context that informs each of our ideas of mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I believe in approaching clients from a holistic perspective to connect mind, body, and spirit by collaborating, acting as a member of their team. I hope to work with individuals to understand the potential and authenticity we all innately hold and be a supportive ally in their journey. My passion to serve diverse populations has allowed me the privilege to work with those in crisis stabilization, inpatient and outpatient substance use treatment, life transitions, and identity work utilizing trauma-informed interventions. I am certified in Washington as a licensed mental health counselor associate and substance use disorder professional trainee. *Accepting new clients at this time.
