Description of Counselor/Practice
The relationship to self is one of the most important relationships we have in life, as it has a profound impact on how we show up in every other relationship. Disruption to our relationship with self happens through a variety of avenues, such as past trauma, family of origin, depression, anxiety, identity and more. Together, we will work towards acceptance of self and cultivate a stronger relationship to self in order to help you achieve your goals and truly thrive in your life. I will walk with you on your journey to self-discovery.
I have over 10 years experience working in the social work field with people of all ages and all racial backgrounds, with an emphasis on crisis stabilization and trauma. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, family of origin issues, self-worth, coping, grief, spiritual needs and LGBTQ+. I incorporate various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution focused therapy, person-centered, motivational interviewing, behavioral therapies, and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients reach their goals.
You are taking a courageous and important step in overcoming life's challenges by seeking support. I would be honored to walk this journey of self-discovery with you. Together, we will work to help you become your very BEST self.
