I earned my master degree in Arts of Counseling Psychology at Saint Martin’s University in 2018. I’m currently enrolled in a Doctoral program in Educational Leadership (Ed. D.) at the University of Washington Tacoma. Learning has been a passion my entire life and it’s the reason why I continue to invest in training and program that would allow me to grow professionally, but most important to help me grow as a person. I’m certified as a Trauma-Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and Depression & Mood Disorder Treatment Professional. This knowledge and training has allowed me to expand my options when working with anxiety disorders, depression disorders, behavioral disorder, and trauma. I'm also certified certified as a Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP). I truly believe in the power of alternative medicine and connecting the body and mind as a whole to achieve recovery of emotional and physical illness. The majority of my counseling and instructing experience has been working with intercultural couples, children, adolescents, parental coaching , individual therapy, and groups in forensic services. In the last six months I’ve been investing more in the creation and development of training programs for interpreters. My last webinar was “Interpreting in mental health settings: Therapists and interpreters working together”. I’ve been a guest presenter in different platforms where as a panelist I’ve discussed topics such as Dealing with stress and anxiety in times of COVID.
