I specialize in providing therapy to women to prevent and treat perinatal (time before and after birth, usually during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum) mood and anxiety disorders.
While that is my specialty, my services are not limited to perinatal clients.
I am passionate about studying trauma and raising awareness about mental health disparities, resources, and support.
In therapy, each person’s goals are different, whether it’s to reduce anxiety symptoms, treat depression, or to increase attachment with your baby, etc. I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach, working with you to build an individualized plan to help reach your unique goals. I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR therapy (EMDR). EMDR therapy is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I also use other evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but most importantly I hold no judgement. I encourage open communication and hope to find you support whether it’s with me or another provider who may be a better fit.
